RARE Italian Restaurant in Fort Collins Supports the Italy Earthquake Center

Early morning on Wednesday, August 24th, a 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck central Italy, resulting in more than 290 casualties. The hardest hit areas are Amatrice, Arquata del Tronto & Accumoli, with aftershock affecting much of the surrounding area and contributing to the climbing death toll.

Italian restaurants across the globe are coming together to offer a signature dish from the town of Amatrice, Bucatini all’Amatriciana, in an effort to raise funds for those affected by the recent earthquakes in central Italy.

The week the earthquake hit, the city of Amatrice was preparing to have its annual food festival that weekend that is dedicated to pasta all’amatriciana, thus the symbolism in offering this particular dish.

RARE is joining this effort by creating this symbolic dish for you, and donating a portion of proceeds to help those affected.
